Fan Mail!

I just wanted to tell you I drove by your yarn bomb over at the CM library and it made my day, so much so that I took my son out of the car to take pictures with it. Great job and I hope to see more around Orange County. I have attached a photo of my son Jackson enjoying the tree sweater.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us Cindy! and sorry it took us so long to post this.  You inspired me to continue on with this bomb and will hopefully be over there today to add to it!

Welcome to the Team!

We have a new Flower Child on the team! We are so excited to have you and hope that you enjoy yarn bombing as much as we do.
To anyone wanting to become a Flower Child the way to get in is simple, bomb something, take a picture, and e-mail it to us!!!  Every man, woman, and child on this planet is welcome to join.

Independence Day

This is at another awesome school called Waldorf in Costa Mesa near the home of our two youngest Flower Children.  As seen in the photo this bomb is in great need of your participation so please don't hesitate to add anything at all!

STOP Sign

This bomb is on a stop sign out side of the Mark Twain Elementary school in Long Beach where one of the Flower Children was lucky enough to go to until 5th grade.  How many people get to go to a school named after someone as cool as Mark Twain?

Currently crocheting at milk+honey at the camp! We saw our old bombs were taken down but we shall prevail! Orange county will be covered in yarn!

Birthday Bomb

Today on my birthday I had the privilege of bombing with the two newest and youngest flower children.  We chose a tree outside my favorite local library which, unfortunately, is on the corner of a very busy four way stop.  While installing this bomb we were lit up by many headlights including a police car which luckily had no interest in us.  You would never know that this was my two companion's first yarn bomb by the way they so calmly handled themselves.  Congratulations and welcome to the team you two! We are so happy you have joined us and can't wait until we work together again.
After completing the bomb we proceeded to search out and chase a stray dog we had seen earlier wondering the parking lot of an adjacent school.  This went on for about 15 minutes before we had cornered it and were about to catch it when the little fuzz ball showed its teeth and growled at us.  So, no longer feeling any obligation to save a dog who did not want to be saved, we let it run down the street and out of sight.

warming trees everywhere!

To finish off the night, we chose this pregnant looking tree in Wimbledon park.
Hopefully it doesn't get too wet from the sprinklers!

INNOUT

Choosing the next place was rather difficult. We wanted it to be in a place where it would be seen and appreciated, so we decided to put it on a tree! Trees get cold right?
This tree is by in-n-out on Bristol.

Light post on Bristol

Since we were in the area, we thought we might as well hit this lamp post! It's right across the street from the Lab and right next to American Apparel.
Edit: Unfortunately this bomb has been removed.

Parking lot railing at the Camp!

Since our first yarnbomb at the Camp is still up, we decided to go there again! We definitely did this one when there were lots of people around, but surprisingly no one asked us what we were doing?

First attempt at yarn bombing.

We are about to begin our first yarn bombing adventure. Everything is ready, we just have to go out and actually sew the pieces on.

Not sure what the reaction will be, but hopefully it's a positive one!
We're nervous, we just want everyone to like it and appreciate it!
